Over 2,200 Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) Product Recall events have been added to Advisen’s Large Loss database covering 281.6 million recalled items. About 30 or 40 new CPSC recalls are announced every month, and our database contains almost all since 2002. Need to sort product recalls by industry or company size/type? Needless to say, this data shows that large scale product recalls, such as Scott’s ($30.8m for 3 recalls), Nissan ($140m), and Fujitsu ($93m), can be extremely expensive.

SEARCH RELATED CASES AND CLASH EVENTS
For Reinsurers writing professional liability casualty treaty, a list of companies being sued can be very helpful. Cedents don't always point out which of their insureds are being sued, and a current list is hard to acquire.
Clash events are crucial for Reinsurers and Cendents alike to see aggregate exposures, so in MSCAd, where two or more losses are rooted to the same underlying cause, we link them and sum them. Today we have 359 loss events linked to the root cause of Subprime. Stock Option Grants has 214, Enron has 41, and Contingent Commissions have 41.
