Hard Times and RIMS Responds

Are you a RIMS (Risk and Insurance Management Society) member who has lost your job recently due to the economic crisis or a consolidation or merger? Do you know a fellow risk professional and former RIMS member who let his/her membership lapse when the job ended? Advisen wants to make sure you know that the RIMS Board of Directors has waived Society membership dues for up to two years for Deputy or Associate members who have lost their positions. We know that the networking and resources that RIMS offers can be a great way to find a successful new position, so if you (or a friend) fit this description, contact membership@RIMS.org. The RIMS membership team will gladly reinstate your membership at no cost. While chapter membership is still required, our contacts at RIMS headquarters suggest that many of their chapters have also waived their dues for RIMS members who are between jobs.
