2012 CONFERENCE SCHEDULE
The butterfly effect, a central tenet of chaos theory, holds that a butterfly flapping its wings in Japan can affect weather patterns in the U.S. If that is so, it isn't hard to imagine the chaos caused by the massive Tohoku earthquake and tsunami in Japan. Businesses around the world -- even those that did not consider themselves as global enterprises -- were rocked by supply chain disruptions and contingent business interruption losses.
Advisen's Property Insights Conference, Managing Property and First Party Exposures in the Global Economy, will examine the challenges faced by businesses in a highly interconnected world. Companies need to be concerned not only with protecting their property in far flung locations across the globe, but also need to protect themselves against the economic consequences of the loss of customers and suppliers, wherever they may be located. This conference will bring together experts to address the cutting edge property and first party insurance issues concerning supply chain risk management, contingent business interruption, terrorism, political upheaval, climate change and natural catastrophes.
